Assessments

Assessments are for potential patients who want to find out how we work and if their problem is suitable for Osteopathic treatment.

Primarily we deal with patients who have musculoskeletal problems. You might have a back, neck, or shoulder problem. Perhaps your hip or knee has started to hurt. This might be a new injury or maybe a long-standing joint problem.

Perhaps you have been seeing a Chiropractor, Physiotherapist or Sports therapist for a problem that just won't resolve. Maybe you want a second opinion on an injury. If this sounds like you - then please book an assessment.

What happens at the assessment:

Assessments can be booked online or by phoning the practice. Assessments after 6 pm and on weekends incur a £15 fee. Once you have booked your assessment you will be sent a healthcare screening form. This is to be completed by you before your video call.

Your confirmation email will contain a link to your telehealth appointment. Click the link to join the appointment and your Osteopath will join you online. During the video call, your Osteopath will review the information on your form and ask any additional questions so they can get a really clear idea of the nature of your problem and your reason for contacting us.

We will then discuss if Osteopathy is suitable for you and possible treatment options

What happens after an assessment

If treatment is suitable the patient may book an appointment. The first appointment after an assessment is 30 minutes long as we have completed all your paperwork. The focus of this session will be on treatment and exercises to support your recovery and get you out of pain. This session is priced as a new patient session, please note prices vary depending on if you book at peak or off-peak times. Our reception team will happily assist you to make an appointment convenient for you.
